Three cheers for the so called fashion icon.

She stunned the world with her garish leotards back in 2008 and has continuously shocked us again and again after that and the finally, gaining the fashion icon title. I personally disagree, in my eyes she's just doing what has always been done (the freaky-beautiful thing -that is sooooo pretentious) but she does deserve kudos for her ability to leap from unknown to superstar in a few months, but do we blame her musical talents for this dramatic increase of her wild style? It's a hard one to debate isn't it? Especially considering that she has a massive fan base who would do almost anything to see her walk past them in the supermarket. Of course she can sing, but it's nothing we haven't heard before so what's really keeping her in the spotlight? I mean she's not that amazing, all her songs sound the same as your everyday generic pop-star songs do. So, you could put it down to good luck and determination but that doesn't exist in the music industry anymore. Lady gaga is just a woman with a desperation to be recognised. Oh the bore that chart music is.... B.x
